New Zealand's largest avocado grower, Valic, approached Not Another™ with an exciting brief to name and develop a brand for its new startup: an innovative arm of the business dedicated to developing freeze-dried avocado powder to be used as an ingredient in food, health, and beauty products. Valic wanted to capture the health and nutritional goodness of avocados and make it available to the world; our goal was to create a brand that reflected both the innovation and enthusiasm behind the new venture, but also carried the presence and credibility of Valic.
Purpose Banking, a Y Combinator startup based in San Francisco, reached out to Not Another™ while they were on a global hunt for a Webflow Expert to design and build a new core brand identity, website, and various brand executions. Purpose found us and off we embarked on a great project that was conceived, designed and built across New Zealand, Australia, India and America. The result is a striking brand identity and website that reflect the values of a company that cares, tailored for a customer base that wants to do their little bit for the planet, every time they shop.
As New Zealand was in lockdown, First Table decided to do what all good tech companies do when faced with a challenge: innovate. FirstEATS is the product of that innovation, and we're proud of the brand we created for it. FirstEATS was launched to bring together all of the best eateries that offer takeaway and in an industry ravaged by Covid, we wanted to bring some colour and energy to counter the doom and gloom. To bring FirstEATS to life, we re-designed the logo and developed a series of illustrations showcasing a diverse range of people enjoying food, on the go.
Extraordinary things happen when opportunity and potential connect — that's the key positioning line we developed for new recruitment company, Cultivate, and it couldn't be truer than for our own relationship with them as our clients.
Based in Auckland, Cultivate reached out to Not Another™'s Sumner Beach studio with an exciting brief: they were launching a new recruitment company and needed us to help them create it... they had the opportunity and we had the potential to deliver something extraordinary. What followed was a fantastic client relationship in which Cultivate trusted us to deliver a fantastic brand based on solid positioning we also developed for them.
When you live on the edge of one of the most beautiful peninsulas in the world (in our opinion, anyway), why would you look any further for inspiration? When Lucy Brown came to us with the concept for her new bed linen brand, she didn't have a name but she did want it to be inspired by Banks Peninsula, and we couldn't of been happier with the brief. With our studio in Sumner Beach, the beautiful Banks Peninsula is our backyard and weekend playground, so finding inspiration from it came naturally.
When a business comes to us with the need to rename, it's always a big responsibility we take very seriously. When it's three businesses merging into one new identity, the stakes are even higher. Matt Thompson came to us with that exact need: rebrand three disjointed businesses he owned into one new parent brand. Nimbl is what we came up with: from naming through to complete roll out across stationery, company documents, building signage, vehicle signage, uniforms and a website.
