When the former owner of Roots (Best Restaurant at the 2015 Cuisine Good Food Awards) announced he was launching a new food venture, we knew we had to get involved. So we reached out to Giulio Sturla and he not only entrusted us to look after the logo, identity, copywriting, website, and videography for Mapu, but gave us complete creative control from the start. His philosophy is to trust people in their craft, and that's exactly what he asks people to do when they visit his "test kitchen": an intimate experience in which he cooks whatever dishes he desires to a group of no more than six people.
The identity we came up with, including the logo composed of various shapes, reflects Giulio's absolute commitment to sourcing the food he cooks with from local suppliers and foraging spots. The Mapu logo comes together in an elegant assembly of shapes, just like Giulio's mouth-watering creations.
