New Zealand's largest avocado grower, Valic, approached Not Another™ with an exciting brief to name and develop a brand for its new startup: an innovative arm of the business dedicated to developing freeze-dried avocado powder to be used as an ingredient in food, health, and beauty products. Valic wanted to capture the health and nutritional goodness of avocados and make it available to the world; our goal was to create a brand that reflected both the innovation and enthusiasm behind the new venture, but also carried the presence and credibility of Valic.
The first step towards creating the new brand for Valic was the find the perfect name. We wanted something that hinted at avocado, yet was totally unique and ownable. With a few workshop sessions and lively discussions, we settled on Ovāvo: a name that sounds as good as it looks.
With the core identity designed and rolled out into comprehensive brand guidelines, we were tasked with telling the Ovāvo story through a photography and videography, all beautifully presented on a bespoke website, also designed by Not Another™.
